I have just had a couple of totally bonkers weeks ! I had put forward to be Mark Cleghorns next apprentice for phototraining4u. For those of you that dont know Mark is the genius behind phototraining4u, which in turn is the largest photography training website in Europe.

I was delighted and amazed when I made it through to the 12 chosen few ! the following two weeks have been crazy as we have been given tasks daily to complete , these have been fantastic and it has been great following everyones interpretation of these and their own journeys through the x factor style auditions !

All of this has been based on FB and there was a place going for the person with the most FB likes… I was determined to make it into the famous five and I asked everyone i knew or had ever passed in the street to virtually like me ! It was hard work and with my virtual army behind me I stormed in and took the place on offer !

On Sunday I made my way to Cardiff, what a gorgeous city !  I wish i had bought my camera along as it turned out I had a few hours to myself and would have had a lovely time playing with it !

In the afternoon I went to the seminar where the voting was going to take place ….and then everything is a blur … there was an interview …. a nervous and desperate plea for support from the audience and finally in what seemed like the longest hour of my life the wait for the results .

and then it just went bonkers again !! Mark called out my name, I hugged Claire, Debbie thrust the champagne at me … i struggled to find words large enough to express my thanks … and from then on the grin has been firmly placed on my face !
